New ships for Princess cruises this year

Ratings

princess's new ships

Princess Cruises is proud to welcome three fantastic new super liners to the Princess fleet in 2004. Diamond Princess, Caribbean Princess and Sapphire Princess introduce a new stage in Personal Choice Cruising for Princess Cruises. With many new features expanding the boundaries of Personal Choice Cruising including Movies Under the Stars, themed dining options and new shows, we're sure they will bring you all you are looking for in modern cruise ships.

Diamond Princess joined the fleet on 26 February 2004 in a spectacular Japanese-style ceremony held in Nagasaki, Japan. Yoshida , wife of Kazuo Tsukda, president of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, the builders of Diamond Princess, christened the vessel.

Caribbean Princess was next to join the fleet when, on 2 April 2004, she was christened by Jill Whelan in Fort Lauderdale. Jill was the TV daughter of Captain Stubing from the hit show "Love Boat" and got married on board the day she christened the ship!

Sapphire Princess will be launched in June 2004, setting sail on her inaugural Alaskan cruise from Seattle.
